It powers up, the viewfinder works and the tape functions on play, rewind/fast forward etc BUT it does not seem to want to record. This camcorder has been tested and ispartial working condition. It powers up and all appears to be working but I can't get it to record.

Power cord has been cut and plug has been replaced and taped on. Charger and larger battery work. The smaller battery charges but only lasts about 5 mins. The dc adapter works to power the camera. The camera plays back vido and FF and RR work. but when you switch to record the screen has lines and you cant see any thing through the lens.
