This is an Atlas 12” Wood Lathe Tailstock L12-5A with Quick Release Clamp. Atlas made many of the early Sears Craftsman lathes, so this should also fit early 12 inch Sears Craftsman lathes with a 2 1/4 inch gap in the lathe bed. This has the quick release feature: a quick flick of the lever allows the tailstock to slide on the bed and then turn the lever to tighten. This tailstock is in very good working condition. There is some spotty surface rust, but all parts move as they should.
