Artists and Engravers: The publisher of this work is Carl Joseph Meyer (1796-1856). He was a German entrepreneur and publisher. He was very succesful with his publishing firm 'Bibliographisches Institut', which he started in his hometown Gotha in 1826. He published bibles, literature and geographis atlasses.
