VHS player works great. DVD player is NOT working. It’s able to detect for no disc and does spin up and “play” CDs but no audio is produced. VCR works great. Via component or composite audio output is very garbled and distorted.

Both sides have issues - DVD player - the rewind/skip button doesn’t work but everything else functions properly (I couldn’t figure out how to turn PSCAN on - may need remote) VCR - (unable to test record function) play, stop, eject, and slow rewind/fast forward function properly but the high speed fast forward and rewind is hit or miss. Sometimes it works just fine and other times it’ll run for a few seconds, stop and shut the player off. The belt doesn’t feel loose - gears could be slipping or something else might be causing the issue
