Unit is gently used in good condition and sold as is. Unit powers on and when start button is pressed needle moves over to the left, when stop is hit the needle moves back to the right. It never dropped down onto the record. Only moved left and right with start and stop. That is as far as I tested and am selling it as is What you see is what you get.
