DISCOBOLUS BRONZE SCULPTURE. The Diskobolus of Myron is a Greek sculpture that was completed towards the end of the Severe period, circa 460-450 BC. The original bronze discus-thrower survives only in marble copies, dating to the Roman period, one of which is part of the Townley Collection in the British Museum.
