The ipod works but has a bad battery, so it has to be plugged in to stay on. The beatbox has an aux port that can be used to play music instead or as a backup. The power port on this beatbox model is notorious for being loose, so keep the speaker on a stable surface and dont jostle the power cord when it is on to avoid disruptions to your music.
