This 1937 Print BLUE HORSES By FRANZ MARC National Committee for Art Appreciation is in overall excellent, pre-owned condition. Franz Marc painted this piece in 1911 and was a key figure in German expressionism. The painting includes three blue horses against a vibrant landscape to depict the idea of animals being close to a unifying spirit. In 1937, Eleanor Roosevelt and roughly 12 prominent individuals created the National Committee for Art Appreciation. It was designed to lift spirits following the great depression era.
