It has 8GB of storage, enough for around 6,000 eBooks. You will need the sleep/wake cover as the power button does not work, it's stuck in place. It requires taking the back off to sort but as the cover does the job of the button, I think it is best to leave it as it could compromise the waterproofing to open it.
