Pair of cast plaster corbels salvaged from a local Victorian house, 14" tall, 8 1/2" across, 9" deep front to back. The lower half design feels a little Gothic Revival to me. The upper half if very much like the capital of a Corinthian column with acanthus leaves and scrolls- with the addition of a cherubic face. Worn metallic gold paint finish- I do see a little gold leaf flakes peeping through on one of them. Each has a hanging wire embedded into the plaster for hanging. Since each corbel is 15 lbs, I would suggest some additional security before hanging. Some losses as shown in our photos.
