Beautiful old Handpainted/gilded extendable Book Ends possibly used as a travelling book shelf - i believe this item is by Cartolerie F. Pineider, circa 1900 - really collectible item - there is some rubbed areas of gilding and paintwork which is commensurate with age - very pretty and rare piece
