The 1740 DeLuxe (cursive maker's mark) made in France by Martin Freres is an entry-level professional Bb clarinet. The 1740 DeLuxe (Model 2 with rectangular maker's mark) was manufactured between the late 1950's and late 1960's and is an intermediate level Bb clarinet. Needs new pads.
