Very nice Cardinal Newman quotation. Apparently he said this as his nighttime prayer. Someone took a lot of time to make this look like a medieval page. I don't really see any damages just some kind of waviness to the paper. He died in 1920 as I remember so I'm guessing it's at least that old. Hard to find something Cardinal Newman that is in a book!
