Console has lots of scratches and marks. Gamepad also has a lot of scratches and marks. I think the gamepad may need a new battery, it took it a sec to want to charge when I was testing it. The left stick also seems to have some stick drift. But it powered on fine, I was not able to test the disc reader since I don't have any wii/ wii u games.
