Built in 1893 with bricks made from local clay, this building was the first constructed after Taylor University relocated to Upland and quickly became a symbol of the campus, its prominent tower featured in school songs and documents. The bell in the tower marked daily campus life and significant events, including the end of both World Wars. H. Maria Wright Hall stood for nearly 67 years before being destroyed by fire in January 1960. Measures about 3.5 x 5.5 inches.
