In 1938, when Germany annexed the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia, the local pro-German party took control of postal service. Stamps of Czechoslovakia were overprinted or surcharged for use in different areas, until a supply of German stamps became available. This lot includes 9 mint never hinged values overprinted for use in Remberg, Michel Catalog #1-9. Not listed in Scott, but widely collected in Europe.
