1 gallon capacity. Has typical wear with small scuffs and scratches. The pump does work, I tried with water, but there is something rattling around inside lid where pump mechanism goes up and down. Also be aware that the rubber hose that feeds water from bottom of container is deteriorating due to age and there are little bits of it at bottom. I would replace hose if intended to be used as a source of drinking water. Nice old water jug. Thanks
