Winter of the World: Book Two of the Century Trilogy by Follett, Ken

I've never used the phrase tour de force to describe novels I've read, but it certainly applies to Ken Follett's 20th Century trilogy, the second volume of which is WINTER OF THE WORLD. Although nearly 1000 pages long, the pages just fly by. For those who've read and thorougly enjoyed its predecessor (Fall of Giants), WINTER is a must read.
