The Idss (drain current for zero bias) and Yfs (transconductance @Idss) were recorded under constant ambient conditions by curve-tracing a large batch (single lot#) BL-grade 2SK170 JFETS. The Yfs vs. Idss distribution for this batch of transistors is shown in the last picture.
