This is a very rare 18th-century Wedgwood caudle cup & saucer in soft pale blue — a collector’s treasure! Taken together — the colour, form, glaze, early marking characteristics, hand-worked irregularities, and survival of the original saucer — this is arare and highly collectable example of early Wedgwood, dating tocirca 1765–1775, with the balance of evidence pointing to thelate 1760s.
