Antique French 19th Century Brass Gilt Monkey Pin Cushion Candle Stick

Superb antique 19th century (circa 1870) French Gilt/Brass Monkey Pin Cushion. The monkey holds the sconce aloft, which has a blue pin cushion inset, all resting on a hand carved wooden base. This is a lovely piece, there are similar models produced as candle sticks (this may be aged repurposed?).
