Set of 6 x WW2 era US Army CAPTURED JAPANESE MAPS of HAKODATE (HOKKAIDO, JAPAN)

These six adjoining sheets cover HAKODATE, an important port city on the South coast of HOKKAIDO, the second largest of the four islands that constitute the Japanese mainland. The original surveys date to 1919, with 1932 revisions to include the South Hokkaido Railway network, so they would have been printed during the period between 1932 and 1945.
