Scultura di un gatto stilizzato disegnata da Livio Seguso ca. anni 70

A cute sculpture of a stylized cat in smoke grey glass. Hand made in the Gral glass manufactory, Germany. It was designed by Livio Seguso ca. 1970. With factory lable and incised signature of the artist (LS) on the base. Livio Seguso (* 1930) comes from a Venetian glassmaking family. At the age of fourteen he began his training as a glassblower at the glass manufactory of his uncle Alfredo Barbini. There he worked until 1960 as an assistant and later moved to Salvati & C as a master glassblower. There Livio Seguso worked closely with artistic director Luciano Gaspari. Finally in 1969 he founded his own studio. During the 1970s, in a collaboration with the Gral Glaswerkstaetten in Duernau, Germany, Livio Seguso created a series of abstract animal sculptures.
