Charles Field in 1858 married Loiuse Alluaud, the granddaughter of the Alluaud porcelain family. In Mary Frank Gaston's Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain, 3rd edition, the GDA mark (#1) on this set is described as a green underglaze mark (Haviland manufacturer's mark) that was used from 1900-1941.
