This adapter allows you to convert a 15 pin MALE VGA (SVGA) cable end into a 24+5 pin DVI-I or DVI-A MALE PLUG connection. It will also allow you to convert a DVI-A out of a PC for example into a Female VGA connection as the adapter is bi-directional so works both ways.
