Designed by Jean de Wouters and manufactured by Atoms in France from 1960. The camera is rated to operate down to 60 m (200 ft) below sea level. The Calypso was sometimes advertised as the "CALYPSO- PHOT". The system originally had three lenses available; two manufactured by SOM Berthiot (BEAR-THEEH-OH) - a 28 and a 35 - and a 45mm by Angenieux. This is the SOM Berthiot 35mm f3.5.
