The included 3/4" copper union makes it ready for attaching to copper pipe. We use a stainless steel ferrule instead of a copper flare because a copper flare will wear out quickly. Cheap, thin walled copper pipe (DWV) is used by the copycats of our products in order to make the flare on the end of the pipe.
