This speaker has been tested and works with an auxiliary cable that connects to whatever device you'd like to use. The power cord also needs to be plugged in for use. The speaker still gets very loud! *Last time I tried the iPod dock, it DID NOT work. This item is being sold as is- working with an auxiliary cord, NOT WITH THE SOUND DOCK- THE SOUND DOCK DOES NOT WORK. Please examine all photos before purchase to ensure satisfaction.
