This is a gorgeous round bentwood pantry box in a shaker style manufactured by Frye’s Measure Mill. It is constructed of bentwood and secured with small nails. It has a one-finger lid that overlaps a straight lap on the body. Boxes like this were often used for kitchen storage in early 20th century. Although the marking on the bottom indicates this is a reproduction, it shows some age-related wear and a beautiful rich patina. The box measures 7 inches in diameter and 4 inches high. With the lid on, it measures 4.5 inches.
