when connected to my external 3.5inch reader the reader does not light up I'm not sure if the drive needs additional power as it has a molex connector on it aswell as the sata connections so not sure if it draws more than my usb reader can output because of this I do not know if it works or the health of the drive so it's sold as faulty spares and repairs
