This is a lovely French jardinare. There is an insert that is pictured. It appears to have been repaired. I had water sitting in it for two days and no leakage. I t has 164 depose inscribed inside. It is quite heavy, approximately 8 lbs. it does not polish up so it is not brass.The depth is 3 + in. And length from handle to handle is 17in.
