It should be bothsmooth andpurposeful during its travel from its rest to the record,at both the start and end of play. If it doesn't, the chances are that this pad is too worn. Denon DP300. Alternatively, the pin should be replaceable with the lever arm in situ - it's a one-circlip job (fiddly, but hey.).
