Michelangelo's Pieta reproduced in this large heavy dramatic statue I have seen this described as chalkware - it looks to be that or plaster or some kind of ceramic The piece is about 14-1/4" high, 12-3/4" wide and 6-3/4" deep A few "character" chipson the base. There is a makers mark on the back - hard to read but with a copyright mark and what is likely the date 73 or 75. Weight of the piece before packaging is nearly 14-1/2 pounds.
