This is my favorite MD Walkman, and I tried quite a few. Check the specs and you will be impressed as well. I tested the playback and it works fine. I tested the “erase all” in the menu, and that worked, so I’m guessing that all menu functions work. I tested recording with a Sony mic I have lying around and recording worked. The playback of my recording might have a 60 mhz buzz, but I am hoping that is due to the mic. No guarantees on quality of your mic-recordings. The unit has an optical line input. I did not test that. Unit only is included in this lot. No batteries, no peripherals, no DC power, etc.
