This porcelain cup, saucer & side plate set features a pattern attributed to the Duchess china trade name, sold as "Duchess China Oriental-style" or "Imari Style" set, specifically under the original manufacturer Edwards & Brown (E&BL), dating from around 1890-1910. Duchess China was established as a trade name in Longton, Staffordshire, England, in 1888. The original business was operated by the partners Henry Weston Edwards and John William Edwards until it was dissolved in 1932. The mark on the bottom of the cup, while partially obscured, is consistent with the style of backstamps used during this early period of production. This set, featuring vibrant green and orange floral motifs with gold detailing, is highly sought after by collectors. VGC.
