A very unique collection of photographs from the The Exposition Universelle of 1889 better known in English as the 1889 Paris Exposition, was a world's fair held in Paris, France, from 6 May to 31 October 1889. It was the fifth of ten major expositions held in the city between 1855 and 1937.[a] It attracted more than thirty-two million visitors. The most famous structure created for the exposition, and still remaining, is the Eiffel Tower. I believe these photos were taken by an attendee. Most of the attractions are written on the back of the photos in pencil. They each measure 2.4” x 1.75” a very odd but interesting size. Very nice grouping!
