This converter will NOT work with Thunderbolt cables or monitors with Thunderbolt ports. It MUST be used with a Mini DisplayPort cable and MUST be plugged into a monitor with a Mini DisplayPort. It can only convert HDMI to Mini DisplayPort, not the other way around.
