(see pics). MORTISE BOX: The mortise box itself is 1 9/16" deep from the front edge of the faceplate and the box 3 5/8" high. Box is 1/2" thick. The lock is reversible. FACEPLATE: Mortise lock has a Japanned face with a length of 5" and a width of 3/4" and thickness of 1/8".
