Antica Targa Italiana Castelli Maiolica Terracotta Mattone Piastrella Rinascimento Uomo

A desirable large Italian maiolica brick tile of a Renaissance era man that was produced in the commune of Castelli, circa 1800. The tile was once mounted as seen by the mortar remnants, likely as a ceiling tile. These are typically described as a ceiling tiles done after those by the Castelli factory for the Church of San Donato. It is well rendered and in very good condition considering age. Normal surface wear, patina, small losses at edges, factory firing inclusions, etc. Please see all photos for condition.
